1955 WELCOME TO DISNEYLAND Original First Brochure and Map to Walt Disney's Park.
This is the first "Welcome to Disneyland" brochure that was distributed to guests at the Main Gate in the first weeks of the Park's opening. It is an illustrated four-panel fold-out guide printed in blue and black with map on one side; on the reverse are details of Main Street, U.S.A. "Copyright, 1955, by Disneyland, Inc." is printed on both sides. In the Tomorrowland it is noted that the "Jules Verne Exhibit ('20,000 Leagues Under the Sea') will...be an attraction in Tomorrowland;" it opened on August 3, 1955.
I was debating sending this item to an auction house, but decided to give a larger amount of prospective buyers an opportunity. NOTE - last page has a small stain in lower left corner.
This item is as close to Near Mint as I have ever seen. I have NEVER seen a nicer one for sale. This is truly a rare opportunity so don’t miss out on your chance to own this beautiful piece of vintage Disneyana.
This brochure must have been stored away for decades in the condition that it was originally in.
