    Description

Not reissue! Original Fender Stratocaster 1969-71 body, lightweight, 4.5 pounds. Last of the original four bolts! I'm guessing it's alder based on weight, but I can't be sure as everything's under paint. It's one of those that's got a misguided DIY story... some past owner filled in the trem cavity front and back... yes, it's true (it wasn't me) and mounted a Badass stop bridge/tailpiece instead (thus the metal inserts), and finished with an amateur black paint job! You can see the filled trem cavity in the pictures.  You can use it just as it is if you want to keep the non-trem style, but if I was going to keep this body and restore it (I considered it!) I'd restore the trem cavities, fill the tailpiece insert holes and do a decent refin on it and it would be quite a nice vintage body. Given that the edges on the filled trem cavities are still visible, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to remove whatever they filled it with and return it to the way it was. One good point is that it hasn't been oversanded and has kept original thickness. Very cool vintage body that could use some TLC.
