Description
Up for sale is a 1970-1972 Gibson ES-150 DN Hollowbody GuitarRare, Blonde finish
Serial Number 950854
Made in Kalamazoo, MI.
It dates from 1970-72 due to recurring/random Gibson Serial Numbers.
Guitar is a beautiful maple, though the photos appear more on the yellow side. It is a natural maple finish in person.
Similar to the ES- 335 but with a fatter body.
Straight neck, low action and structurally sound.
There is some light buzzing on the lower frets. Very playable but there is some buzz.
I have not tried adjusting the truss rod or raising the nut/bridge.
There is a small hairline crack at the input jack and one a few inches below it. They are not through the wood and the sides are structurally sound (no wiggle/give/etc) These are extremely minor but worth pointing out.
The pickups are not original, they are very old, but I do not believe they are what came with this guitar from the factory.
They sound great and have that vintage vibe to them.
All electronics work as they should
Tuners will hold in tune for weeks on end.
Has Gibson Deluxe tuners.
The knobs have also been replaced.
Finish has age lines/scaling all over. This is common with older Gibson guitars.
Whoever owned this guitar loved the 7th fret position.
The finish is gone in a thumbprint on the back of the neck. The wood is not worn, only the coating and it is not bothersome when playing.
The back of the headstock reads "950854 MADE IN U.S.A. 2"
I believe the guitar is a factory second.
Comes with an aftermarket hardshell case in nice condition
Overall this guitar is in great shape for it's age and is hard to come by. I don't think you will be disappointed when you get this one in your hands. She feels amazing.
I will professionally pack and ship this guitar.
You will have to sign for the package and it will ship with tracking and insurance.
