Airline Valco Single Pickup Supro Electric Guitar, Case, Amp Cord, Strap, Strin

The Airline brand was used by Montgomery Ward on a range of electric and acoustic guitars from 1958-1968.  These were made in Chicago, Illinois by the Valco Manufacturing Co, Kay Musical Instruments Company and Harmony Company.  Valco Airline guitars have been played by a wide array of bands and artists including Jack White-The White Stripes, J.B. Hutto, David Bowie, The Cure, PJ Harvey, Calexico and Wooden Ships. In the early 2000's Eastwood Guitars acquired the rights to use the "Airline" brand name.  My father purchased this from a band member in Denver, the original owner, in the early 1960's. Both the case and guitar have signs of wear, normal for its age and Playing this instrument in a Band." There is an Airline Plate numbered:  T44797. Included are D'Addario strings: PL010, PL013, PL017 Blue and Red strings: RG026, RG036, RG046 and one package of a Fender brand guitar string used. The Amp cord is in amazing condition and so is the vintage 1960's strap. During the early 1960's Law Enforcement suggested that people put their social security number on items of value in case of thief. There is a Soc Sec # on the the back of the head. Looking at the markings, I believe this guitar has 20 frets. A local band member hooked it up to his amplifier and played it, said it has a very nice sound. Sorry, I do not play guitars, my knowledge is limited to what you see in the photos.
