Description
RAREVintage Univox electric "bizarre" guitar created in the early 60's. This is a unicorn from the Japanese Univox Strat knockoffs. Commonly called the "Bizarre" for it'a unique look and unknown make. This model is not listed anywhere in the Univox guitar catalog. The logo style is #1 of #4 that they used which means it is from the early 60's when they started manufacturing. This design was created as a 6 and 12 string in Sunburst and Cherry Red. They are rare and in this condition even more rare. I got this one in the late 70's and used it for a few years before switching to acoustic. It has a slim maple neck, real rosewood fretboard and had custom chrome covers added over the single coils in the 70's. I recently spent 0 having the entire guitar went over including straigtening the neck, new strings, new 3 way switch, all electronics checked out and a new Seymour Duncan 60's style humbucker to replace a bad single coil. Now this has a 3 way switch to play single coil on bridge, shared or humbucker on neck. This is a sweet guitar for an old guitar enthusiast. Immaculate for almost 60 year old guitar. I've owned for 40 years and pampered. It's ready for a new owner.
