KAY Value Leader Vintage Electric Hollow Body Electric Guitar & Case

$ 396

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Condition: KAY Vintage Electric Guitar. This is a pre-owned vintage guitar I believe to be by Kay. This looks to be a Value Leader model by Kay, and I have also seen model as K5962. That said I'm not certain of the specific model of this one. I have seen some with truss rod and some without. This one Does have a truss rod & cover. The neck is very good right now for playability. I don't know if truss rod is moving as, I did not have a tool that would fit to try it. Though the Kay LOGO is missing, I see 2 screw holes on either side at top of headstock, that look right, for this at one time having that Kay Logo. The electronics look to have been replaced, and a pick guard as well, that looks to cover more most likely than the original did. That said, see more complete description below & pictures and let me know if you got questions. Frazier

    This is a pre-owned vintage guitar I believe to be by Kay. This looks to be a Value Leader model by Kay, and I have also seen model as K5962. The electronics look to have been replaced, and a pick guard as well, that looks to cover more most likely than the original did. That said, looks like there was an attempt to make it look somewhat original in shape on part of it. The electronics installed are working as should. Also NOTE that the nut is chipped at the low E string, but there is ample left to hold the string in place. I was lucky a friend of mine was able to help me ID this. With the Sears Silverstone looking case, and the Harmony model guitars I was finding that were very similar, I was sort of stumped. He told me what to search and BAM. This guitar is sold as described, AS IS no returns. That said, see pictures and Let me know if you got questions. Frazier (or Susan) but mostly on this item, Frazier
