Also Fungal and Bacterial Infections
Spider mites can devastate a cherished collection of plants very quickly. Whilst there are many solutions on the market, the best is neem oil, a by-product of the
Azadirachta Indica
tree which grows in central Thailand. It’s a powerful organic solution to plant infestations, including spider mite. It controls immediately on contact.
It solves infestations by smothering and depriving insects of the ability to ingest. Adults, their young and eggs will be destroyed. So once neem oil is applied, they die very quickly. Simply spray the entire affected plant, leaves, stalks, shoots and buds, and don’t forget to spray leaves above and below. Spray until the neem drips off the leaves. The benefit will be immediate. Repeat spray every 5 - 7 days until the infestation is under control, then every 2 weeks to maintain control.
Insects controlled include spider mites, aphids, scale, leaf hoppers, mealy bugs, thrips, nematodes, lawn grubs, Japanese beetles and hundreds more. Sprayed in winter it will destroy hibernating eggs. It also discourages mosquitos.
In addition, neem oil controls fungal infections such as black spot, scab, rust, powdery mildew, leaf spot, anthracnose, blight, verticillium wilt, mildew, stem rot … and more.
It’s also a bactericide, so it can control fire blight, canker etc.
Use it for all kinds of plants without harm – indoor plants, greenhouse plants, garden plants, ornamental and fruit trees. nut trees, rose bushes and more. Neem is also an organic fertilizer so it will not harm your plants.
Neem oil is non-pollutive in soil or water sources. When used responsibly it does not harm bees, lady bugs or butterflies. And insects susceptible to neem oil do not become resistant to the treatment.
Our neem oil is highly concentrated. You only need one teaspoonful (5 ml) in one liter or US quart of water. Initially to control an existing infection, apply by spraying every 5-7 days. Ensure the plants are soaked and dripping. Spray leaves above an below. Once the infestation is eliminated, to maintain control spray every 7-10 days. Frequent spraying will not harm your plants.
Applying neem is not harmful to humans, animals or beneficial insects.
