This listing is for an absolutely lovely and great sounding 1940's Recording Electric Spanish Archtop Guitar. This guitar was made by Regal in the 1940's but has the Recording King headstock logo. This is a very early archtop electric hollow body guitar and is in excellent condition. The guitar been professionally set up and plays like a dream. The neck is straight and the action is very low and comfortable. The guitar has an early pickup which is similar to a lap steel style pickup and sounds great. As best I can tell the guitar is all original. The frets are in amazing shape and show no evidence it was refretted but being that the frets are virtually no wear on them it's possible the guitar had a super professional refret at one time. Same with the tuner buttons, They look extremely clean and new but show no evidence of being replaced. The guitar has some light wear such as nicks, dings and scratches but considering it's age the guitar is in really special condition.The guitar comes as pictured with it's original soft shell case which is in nice shape and the guitar will be expertly packed for safe shipping.
