  • Condition: These original vintage pair of Pillow Pin Cushions are in wonderful Homemade Antique condition. I found these in England. The blue one, has some rust marks from the pins once placed there and/or still remaining. The wool embroidery mostly remains, on the blue rectangular pincushion. At some point an individual marked this pincushion with their initials, in ink. I believe it is filled with bran? (still firm). The tapestry square pincushion is filled with something different. The tapestry pincushion has a subtle hole in one of the corners. It goes through the corner and out the other side. Not sure the purpose of that. Both pincushions have an aged patina. I haven't tampered or done anything cosmetically, with them. I have attached pictures for your examination”

    Measures approx. 4 5/8"L x 3 1/2"W x 1 1/4"D
    There is a Printed/Hand Sewn on label

    Measures approx. 2 7/8"L x 3/4"W x 3/8"H
    The Square Tapestry Pincushion
    Measures approx. 5"L x 4 1/2"W x 2"D
    The two panels seem to imagine/show a charming tale
    A lad has hooked his fishing line, on one of the young lady's skirt hem
    (I can only imagine what happened next, because....)
    Then we can see the two girls looking on, as the young man is now on his knees trying to fetch his hat out of the stream
    Estate Home woven into the background is lovely
