Vintage Hopf-Fasan Archtop Commodore-Commander Guitar Circa 1950's 1960's

This listing is for a really unique and beautiful Vintage Archtop Jazz Guitar. To the best of my knowledge this was made in Europe in the 1950's or 1960's. I have seen a few similar examples of this model which is either a Hopf Commodore or a Fasan Commander. The guitar is a very cool guitar and plays well with low and comfortable action. The guitar was refretted and the tailpiece has been changed to a Gibson style trapeze tailpiece. The guitar has a very bright "Django" jazz guitar sound. The neck appears to have been reset and there is a little binding replaced around the neck heel. The guitar shows typical finish checking as well as nicks, dings and scratches from wear. The guitar comes with the case pictured which maybe original or maybe a Hofner case. The case is pretty beat up but the guitar will be expertly packed for safe shipping.
