In excellent shape considering its age and if not for a little gouge in the front bottom of the guitar and a few more minor dings sparsely scattered around the entire guitar. (See pictures.) I actually thought that this was a reissue because the pickguard was so clean and the metal hardware was so shiny … the rest of the guitar looks to be in terrific condition for being vintage as well ! I did confirm with my supplier that this instrument really was made in the 60's ! Unbelievable ! Before shipping, we will clean/buff the body & back of the neck of the guitar w/D'Addario polish. Strings will be cleaned w/ string cleaner, even though they are in good shape. And the fretboard will be conditioned with really nice smelling lemon oil.......So the lucky buyer can just plug her in & start rockin' out !!!!

    Description

    Hello !
Up for sale is a terrific, classic guitar by Kingston !
Made in Japan in the 60's. It looks a lot like the guitars that Hound Dog Taylor played, except this model has a single pickup.
Nevertheless, this is one funky cool piece (or pieces) of wood that sounds really good with just the one pickup!
As far as playability, shredding is a little more difficult with this guitar that was created more than 1/2 a century ago … probably designed to play old school rock, country and maybe even some jazz.  I'm not sure if you can lower the action any more, enough to make it a shred machine. But if you're good, you can probably pull off some flurries here and there.
However, if you want to get down and dirty like Hound Dog did, and/or maybe you want to play a little more percussive style, like some Texas blues, then this can definitely be the axe for you!
All in all, it is definitely fun and a pleasure to play and listen to.
Grab this hard to find treasure now before someone else does!
Please read the condition description, these listing details and examine the pictures carefully.
Thanks so much for your interest and I hope you buy it now!!!!!!
