This Silvertone Aristocrat archtop electric guitar is in good cosmetic shape and even better playing shape. It has undergone three modifications. The neck had already been reset with hide glue for a proper string angle over the bridge. It was pretty well done. Please note that the cover shot was going for a sexy vibe, I didn't realize this summer that the bridge had drifted off center. Please check the last photo (taken today) to ensure that the strings are properly centered on the neck. The controls had already been removed for some vintage wanker who gutted them for a Thin Twin, so I installed new potentiometers, jack and a four position switch. The bridge is obviously unoriginal but it allows for proper intonation. Guitar is currently strung up with .010-.046, string height at the 12th fret is .080" on the high E and .090" on the low E. There is room to take that down at the bridge. When the guitar is capoed at the first fret and fretted at the top fret there is .009" relief at the 9th fret. Neck is pretty straight under tension, frets cleanly. There is no case or bag, just the guitar. I used to play this thing but I'm old and don't play much at all anymore. If you need absolute beyond dead mint tone to the bone with the original strings and the original shipping box, this is not the guitar for you. It has been modified to improve playability. It's used so it's sold as is with the understanding that I value my 100% feedback and have described the guitar accurately, warts and all. No negative surprises, I want the buyer to be happy with it.
