    Description

    Vintage 800 Silver Reliquary St. Paul the Apostle Relic w/ Red Wax Seal & Threads
    This beautiful 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" vintage 800 silver reliquary has a filigree design with 4 red stones and a hanging loop at the top. The paper inside reads "S. Pauli  Ap.".
    The back cover piece is marked "CE20   800" (800 is a common silver standard used in Europe). The back cover slides into a notch to keep it secure (see close-up). When removed it reveals the intact red threads and red wax seal which was used to assure its authenticity.
    The filigree design has a basic cross shape and two tone color. Note that a section on the right is missing the round coiled wire you see in the other 3 sections.  Please see all the pictures for finer detail and ask any questions that might be helpful.
